Atlantica SuperSplash

Atlantica SuperSplash is a water coaster within Europa-Park that stretches 390 meters and climbs to 30 meters high. The ride features two major descents and a splash zone where water sprays across the boats and surrounding area.

The ride was developed by Mack Rides and opened on March 19, 2005. This innovative water coaster system established the template for similar attractions globally and became influential in the industry.

Visitors journey through scenes inspired by Portuguese seafaring history and fortress architecture that define the thematic journey. The water ride transports guests through harbor-like settings and fortified structures that reflect the legacy of maritime exploration.

Riders must be at least 100 centimeters tall to board, and children under 130 centimeters need adult supervision during the ride. The three-minute journey includes water-splashing sections, so expect to get wet or bring a change of clothes.

The ride uses hidden magnets beneath the track to control boat speeds and splash intensity, adjusting automatically to different weather conditions. This means each ride feels slightly different depending on temperature and time of day.
