Euro-Tower, Observation tower in Rust, Germany
The Euro-Tower is an 86-meter tall observation tower in Europa-Park that offers panoramic views from its platform across the entire theme park and the surrounding Black Forest landscape. The structure features an elevator system that transports visitors up to the viewing platform.
The tower was originally built in 1980 as part of the Swiss garden exhibition Grün 80 and was later relocated to Europa-Park. This relocation allowed the structure to find a second life as a central landmark of the amusement park.
The Euro-Tower represents the intersection of engineering and entertainment, serving as a central gathering point within Europa-Park's diverse attractions.
The elevator continuously transports visitors to the viewing platform during park operating hours. On busy days there may be waiting times, so an early visit is advisable.
The structure uses specialized lighting systems that change its appearance in the evening hours and create different light effects depending on the season. This dynamic illumination makes the tower a visual feature of the park at night.
