Poseidon, Water rollercoaster in Rust, Germany.
Poseidon is a water roller coaster at Europa-Park that takes guests through scenes of Greek mythology while alternating between track sections and water channels. The experience combines fast-moving ride segments with water boat journeys that accommodate up to eight passengers.
The ride was developed to expand Europa-Park's offering with mythological stories and give Greek culture greater prominence in the park. It emerged as part of a broader effort to enrich the park's themed areas with additional world cultures.
The ride features statues and temple structures that instantly transport visitors into an ancient maritime world. Throughout the journey, you notice details reminiscent of old harbor cities and the history of Mediterranean seafaring.
Visitors must be at least 120 centimeters tall to ride, and should expect to get wet during water sections. It is worth storing valuables in lockers and planning the ride during dry weather for comfort.
What makes this ride special is how boats smoothly transition between rail tracks and water channels without passengers disembarking. This engineering allows two completely different ride experiences to blend into a single attraction.
