Abenteuer Atlantis

Abenteuer Atlantis is an interactive darkride at Europa-Park where guests ride in moving vehicles through underwater scenes. Players use joysticks to aim at targets and earn points while traveling through immersive mythological environments.

Michel den Dulk designed this attraction after visiting Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast at Disneyland Paris, inspiring the development of an interactive vehicle system. The ride opened as a key addition to the park's entertainment offerings.

The ride tells the story of Professor Carter and his turtle companion T-01 on a scientific expedition through a fictional underwater world. Visitors follow their adventure as they journey through richly detailed environments.

The ride is located beneath the Greek village section of the park and is easily accessible from the main areas. Riders should expect to share two-person vehicles and be prepared to use handheld controls during the journey.

Players can discover hidden red targets throughout the ride that award significantly higher scores than regular targets when hit. Aiming carefully at these concealed goals rewards players with bonus points and adds a competitive edge to repeated visits.
