Eurosat - CanCan Coaster, Indoor roller coaster in Europa-Park, Germany
Eurosat - CanCan Coaster is an enclosed steel roller coaster at Europa-Park that reaches 25.5 meters in height and travels over approximately 920 meters of track. The trains reach speeds up to 60 kilometers per hour and hold 14 passengers each.
The coaster opened in September 2018 as a complete renovation of the original Eurosat ride that had operated since 1989 in the park. The redesign kept the same location but gave the experience a new French café theme.
The entrance displays a replica of Paris's Moulin Rouge, and the queue areas guide visitors through French-themed scenes including a recreation of a Paris World Exhibition. People passing through encounter the Belle-Époque atmosphere with colorful decorations and period details throughout the waiting path.
Riders must be at least 6 years old to experience the coaster, and can choose between a traditional ride or a virtual reality version. Queue times can grow quite long, so visiting early in the morning or later in the day tends to be more manageable.
Riders can select between two completely different experiences: the classic coaster or a virtual reality version that tells the story of The Phantom of the Opera. The virtual reality headsets transform the same physical ride into an entirely different adventure with narration and effects.
