Kiefernweg 12, Protected architectural villa in Venusberg, Germany.

Kiefernweg 12 is a two-storey villa built in 1938/39 for merchant Heinz Blömer to a design by Bonn architect Wilhelm Denninger. It has two wings on an L-shaped plan, and its garden facade is defined by a semicircular projection with a pavilion-like roof. Before being divided into two dwellings, it had 416 m² of living space.

Built in 1938/39 as a country house for the merchant Heinz Blömer, the villa was designed by the Bonn architect Wilhelm Denninger; the building application was filed in late August 1938. In September 1949 the Blömer family offered it to North Rhine-Westphalia, which bought it for 161,000 DM and made it the Bonn residence of SPD leader Kurt Schumacher until his death in 1952. From 1958 it served as the residence of foreign ministers Heinrich von Brentano, Gerhard Schröder and Willy Brandt, who lived there as chancellor until 1974.

The villa's name recalls its residents: it is called Brandt-Villa after Willy Brandt, who lived here with his family from 1967 to 1974, and Blömer-Villa after the merchant Heinz Blömer who built it. In 2002 and 2005 it served as a filming location for the television films Im Schatten der Macht and Schattenväter, in both of which Brandt's son Matthias played the leading role.

The villa stands as a solitary building at the southwestern edge of Venusberg, about 170 m above sea level, with its park bordering the Kottenforst forest. It is set back roughly 50 m from Kiefernweg and reached by its own private access road, so the grounds are not entered from the street directly. The site slopes toward the forest edge.

The villa's roughly 1.1-hectare park holds, besides numerous pines, a copper beech, an Atlas cedar, a silver maple and a sequoia. In 2002 and 2005 the house served as a filming location for the television films Im Schatten der Macht and Schattenväter, both starring Willy Brandt's son Matthias in the lead role.
