St. Remigius, Gothic church in Osthofen, Germany

The stone steeple of St. Remigius rises above the western wall, supported by two consoles over a pointed arch with Gothic buttresses.

The church originated as a Templar chapel at the end of the 13th century before becoming part of the Johanniterkommende Worms after 1312.

The organ balustrade displays the coats of arms of the Knights Templar, the Mainz Wheel, and the Worms Key, representing local religious heritage.

The church underwent renovations in 2017, adding a new forecourt with barrier-free access to accommodate all visitors to religious services.

The streets surrounding the church, Tempelgasse and Tempelgässchen, preserve the memory of the former Templar commandery through their names.
