The original fortified structure from 1460 underwent multiple reconstructions, including a major renovation in 1808 following French occupation damage.
The palace interior contains preserved wall paintings and decorative elements that represent the Empire architectural style of the early 19th century.
The palace offers guided tours in German on the third Sunday of each month from April to October, starting at 10:30 AM.
The garden features artificial water channels, bridges, and islands designed by landscape architect Friedrich Ludwig Skell in 1790.
