Stephanienbad, Church building in Beiertheim district, Karlsruhe, Germany
The Stephanienbad features a three-story classical design with a large dance hall on the first floor and viewing galleries along its perimeter.
Friedrich Weinbrenner constructed this building between 1811 and 1817, naming it after Grand Duchess Stephanie de Beauharnais of Baden.
The building transformed from a public bathhouse and restaurant into the Paul Gerhardt Community Center in 1957, serving as a Protestant church space.
Located at Breite Strasse 49a in Karlsruhe, the building offers guided tours every hour between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
During World War I, student associations held their forbidden fencing matches in this building, making it regionally recognized beyond Karlsruhe.
