Christiansenpark, Garden landscape park in Flensburg, Germany
The park spans 4.2 hectares of green space, featuring winding paths, diverse vegetation, and carefully planned garden designs from the 18th century.
Founded in 1797 by merchant Peter Clausen Stuhr, the park merged with Andreas Christiansen's garden in 1820 to create an extensive 25-hectare landscape.
The park houses a Mummy Grotto from 1820, containing a 2400-year-old Phoenician sandstone sarcophagus that connects visitors to ancient maritime history.
Multiple entrances and parking spaces, including facilities for disabled visitors, make the park easily accessible from various points in Flensburg.
The park incorporates the first municipal cemetery in Schleswig-Holstein, preserving a significant piece of regional burial ground history.
