Ebberg, Mountain summit in Balve, Germany
Ebberg is a forested mountain in the Sauerland region rising 390 meters above sea level. The terrain features natural vegetation and typical landscape characteristics of the North Rhine-Westphalian hills.
The summit became established as a recreational area in recent times. In 2013 the site saw development with the construction of a 13-meter wooden observation tower called Ebbergturm.
The summit sits within the Hachener Kuppenland area, shaping the landscape character of the northern Sauerland region with its forested slopes.
The summit can be reached via marked hiking trails from the dedicated parking area and is well equipped for visitors. The observation tower remains accessible year-round.
From the Ebbergturm platform, views open toward the Hönnetal valley with distant views of the Ruhrgebiet's industrial areas. The sight line also extends toward Hunau, Münsterland, and Ardeygebirge.
