Construction of the Stadthalle began in 2012 with a cornerstone ceremony on November 30, resulting in a completed structure by 2014 at a cost of 12.5 million euros.
The venue presents a diverse program including performances by the NRW Symphony Orchestra, children's theater productions, comedy shows, and the Irish Heartbeat Festival.
The facility contains six multifunctional rooms, an outdoor area with an integrated open-air stage, and numerous parking spaces near public transportation connections.
The building's facade changes its copper and bronze tones depending on the viewer's position due to the incorporation of stainless steel strips in its design.
