Warnemünde harbour entrance lights

The entrance lights consist of two lighthouses marking the harbour entrance, with the western one emitting green light and the eastern one red light.

The navigation system was established alongside the New Stream channel in 1903, creating a passage between Warnemünde and Hohe Düne for maritime traffic.

The entrance lights stand as registered cultural heritage monuments, representing the maritime traditions and navigation technology of the Baltic Sea region.

Both lighthouses function as essential navigational markers for vessels entering the port through the New Stream channel, ensuring safe passage day and night.

The entrance lights mark the separation between the New Stream channel and the Old Stream, which constitutes the natural mouth of the Warnow River.
