Kräuterpark Altenau

The Kräuterpark Altenau is a botanical garden in Clausthal-Zellerfeld featuring more than 1,500 herbs and spices arranged across the grounds. Walking paths guide visitors through sections organized by plant type and use, making it easy to explore the collections at your own pace.

A ten-meter tall pagoda stands in the garden to show how spices traveled to Europe through ancient trade routes and their historical economic importance. Visitors can participate in spice roasting demonstrations and create their own custom blends based on what they learn.
