The Jewish Community House combines modern post-war architecture with a large assembly hall and an administrative wing in a cross-shaped arrangement.
The building stands on the site of a former synagogue that was burned down in 1938 and was rebuilt between 1958 and 1959 to revive Jewish life.
The memorial wall in the forecourt displays names of 22 ghettos and concentration camps, accompanied by an eternal flame commemorating Holocaust victims.
The facility contains a multipurpose hall for 700 people, the Jewish Adult Education Center, a library, a senior citizens club, and a kosher restaurant.
The building incorporates architectural elements from the original synagogue into its facade, including original Stars of David in the main hall.
