Rabenauer Grund power station

Rabenauer Grund is a run-of-river power station on the Red Weißeritz near Freital that converts water flow into electricity. The facility houses three machine sets, including two Francis turbines made by Voith, along with modern generators installed after 2012.

Operations began on January 17, 1911, and the facility was renamed in 1917 after Ernst Robert Rudelt, a local mayor. This change reflected the growing importance of the power station to the community and surrounding region.
