Landschaftspark Mühlenhunte, Public park in Oldenburg, Germany

Landschaftspark Mühlenhunte is a public park in Oldenburg featuring expansive green spaces, tree-covered sections, and a network of maintained pathways. The grounds include open meadows transitioning into densely planted areas with varied tree species and shrub plantings.

The Lazaruswiese belonged to the Hunte floodplain until 1982, when it was filled in. In 2006, alongside the opening of the OLantis river pool, the Mühlenhunte received a new near-natural bed and the roughly 40,000-square-metre meadow was turned into a landscape park. The old Hunte arm had powered two mills already mentioned in 1345.

The name Mühlenhunte refers to the old Hunte channel that once powered two mills first documented in 1345. In 2016 the association Freifeld e.V. held a two-week art and culture festival with yurts on the Lazaruswiese, a use that shows how the meadow is taken over for temporary cultural events.

The park lies on the Lazaruswiese in the southeast of Oldenburg, within the 14-hectare Mühlenhunte protected landscape. A section of the old Hunte river runs through it, and the water was given a near-natural bed in 2006 alongside the OLantis river pool. The meadow area outside the pool grounds is planted with loose rows of flowering trees, hedges and a small arboretum.
