Calenberger Brücke, Road bridge and architectural monument in Schulenburg, Germany.

The Calenberger Bridge spans 42 meters across the Leine River with three elliptical arches constructed from sandstone blocks between two river pillars.

Built in 1751 during the Electorate of Hanover under King George II, this bridge replaced earlier structures that had collapsed at the same location.

A coat of arms of King George II remains embedded in the center of the bridge, marking its connection to the regional administrative heritage.

The bridge width allows only single-direction traffic, regulated by traffic lights, with strict speed and weight restrictions for crossing vehicles.

Local folklore tells of a child being walled into the central pillar during construction to appease the bridge devil according to medieval superstition.
