Piano Salon Christophori

Piano Salon Christophori occupies a converted railroad wagon repair workshop and combines display, sales, and performance spaces under one roof. The building holds restored instruments from different periods, available for both concert use and purchase.

The building began as a railroad wagon repair facility and was transformed into a piano center in the early 2000s. This conversion established it as a hub for instrument restoration and musical performances.

Chamber music performances take place regularly within the stark industrial walls, creating an unconventional setting for classical sound. The venue brings together tradition and contemporary practice in a working restoration workshop.

The location is easily accessible by public transport and sits centrally in Berlin-Mitte. Visitors should arrive early to view the restoration workshops and displayed instruments at a relaxed pace.

The collection contains over 50 restored grand pianos from different centuries, each fully playable and some available for purchase. This breadth of choice makes selecting a single instrument challenging, as each has its own history and sound character.
