Church in Kanin

The fieldstone church stands at the center of Kanin village, featuring Gothic architectural elements and a simple rectangular structure with traditional design elements.

The church traces its origins to the early 13th century, with the present late Gothic structure completed during the 14th century as a place of worship.

In 1540, the church became part of the Bliesendorf parish, serving multiple surrounding villages and establishing itself as a religious center for local communities.

The church gained additional recognition when it underwent partial restoration for a 14-part television series production in the mid-2000s.
