Unique³, Mixed-use complex in Saarbrücken, Germany
Unique³ is a mixed-use complex with apartments and office areas spanning 9,550 square meters with ceiling heights of 3.80 meters. The building sections offer flexible spaces for various uses and open-plan layouts.
The site was originally a Siemens office complex with workshops and a canteen. In 2010 it was sold to an Irish investment fund that initiated a comprehensive redesign.
The building displays International Style features and merges contemporary architecture with protected structural elements through an innovative building-within-building design approach.
The building features underground parking, carports, and open parking areas for visitors. District heating connection and KfW 55 energy standards ensure sustainable facilities.
The renovation transformed former office areas into modern loft apartments with exposed concrete and visible structural elements. Integrated green spaces create recovery areas within the urban complex.
