Fleckenmauer Dalsheim

The Fleckenmauer extends for 1.1 kilometers around the village center, featuring seven preserved towers and limestone blocks reaching 80 centimeters in thickness.

Built between 1470 and 1490, the wall functioned as a protective barrier for the market town of Dalsheim until 1840 when its entrance gates were removed.

The structure represents the only complete medieval village fortification in the Rheinhessen region, with regular preservation efforts maintaining its historical character.

Visitors can climb the northern entrance of the Obertorturm tower to access the walkway and experience views of the surrounding Rhineland-Palatinate landscape.

The Hexenturm, one of the wall's distinctive features, includes a semi-circular design with loopholes, a battlement platform, and a brick conical roof.
