Anscharpark, Public park in Wik district, Kiel, Germany
The Anscharpark spans 62,000 square meters between Adalbertstraße and Weimarer Straße, featuring historic brick buildings and mature trees throughout the grounds.
The park originated as a military garrison hospital complex with twenty buildings, including pavilions, administrative facilities, and service structures until the late 1990s.
The preserved buildings from the former hospital period are registered as cultural monuments, representing the architectural legacy of Kiel's military medical facilities.
The park contains residential buildings with modern rental apartments, connected by the main street Im Anscharpark, which received its official name in 2008.
The former boiler house chimney has been modified to function as a protected habitat for bats that previously lived in the hospital tunnels.
