The former Wuppertal-Mirke railway station houses a center with coworking spaces, workshops, and a cafe spread across multiple floors of the building.
Founded in 2011, Utopiastadt transformed an abandoned railway station into a community space, receiving ownership of the building from Wuppertal's Stadtsparkasse in 2016.
Local artists, entrepreneurs, and community members gather at Utopiastadt to participate in exhibitions, music concerts, and collaborative creative projects throughout the year.
The center maintains regular operating hours on weekends, from 12:00 to 20:00 on Saturdays and 12:00 to 18:00 on Sundays, with flexible entry fees.
The facility includes an urban garden with an aquaponics system, managed by the Aufbruch am Arrenberg association since 2018.
