Utopiastadt

Utopiastadt is a sociocultural center housed in a former railway station, with multiple floors containing work areas, workshops, and a cafe. The building serves many groups and accommodates various activities and gatherings.

The center emerged in 2011 when an abandoned railway station was transformed into a community space. Ownership transferred to the organization from the local savings bank in 2016, ensuring its long-term stability.

The space brings together artists, musicians, and neighbors who collaborate on exhibitions, concerts, and creative projects throughout the year. Rooms function as open workshops where people can develop ideas and work side by side on shared endeavors.

The grounds feature an urban garden with an aquaponics system, maintained by the Aufbruch am Arrenberg association since 2018. This fish and plant cultivation method demonstrates sustainable practices within the city.
