Pfeilshof, Historic estate in Sasel, Hamburg, Germany.
Pfeilshof is a country estate in Hamburg with a substantial main house and extensive grounds surrounding the property. The site displays typical features of a 19th-century manor property with preserved buildings arranged across the landscape.
The estate was built around 1880 at the edge of Sasel village and was originally a substantial rural property. In the 20th century, its use shifted as new residents arrived and portions of the land took on different purposes.
The estate gained local recognition when singer Freddy Quinn moved into the property in 1954 after its previous owners, the Blessmann family.
The grounds are located in the Sasel district and are accessible by public transportation, with bus stations and commuter rail stops nearby. Access is via Am Pfeilshof and the area has good connections to Hamburg's transportation network.
Since 1933, the grounds have hosted community gardens that grew from a local initiative and continue today under the Pfeilshof Garden Association name. These gardens became a gathering place for neighbors and nearby residents.
