Villa Knagge is a residential building in Wildeshausen featuring Art Nouveau design elements throughout its facade. The wooden entrance portico displays decorative frieze work, and the gable includes a distinctive mosaic component.
History
The building was constructed in 1852 for merchant Johannes Knagge following his return from Java. Major updates came in 1906 when heating systems and modern improvements were installed throughout the structure.
Culture
The dining room features a hand-painted ceiling that reflects the craftsmanship valued during that era. Two terracotta statues on the grounds depict Art and Science, showing what mattered to the original owner and his circle.

The building is located at Ahlhornerstrasse 10 and currently belongs to the Catholic Church of Wildeshausen. Visitors should be aware that this is a protected heritage property with limited public access.
