Kegelsportanlage Helmstedt

The Kegelsportanlage Helmstedt operates four schere and two bohle bowling lanes inside a converted former wool spinning mill. The facility was adapted to accommodate both German bowling variants in this restored industrial building.

The facility was developed after years of planning and opened in 2012 with the conversion of a former industrial building. Transforming the wool spinning mill created space for a modern nine-pin bowling center accommodating both traditional German variants.

The facility serves as a gathering place for the local bowling community, where players of all skill levels come together for regular competitions and training. It hosts events that bring together kegling enthusiasts throughout the year.

The facility includes changing rooms, sanitary facilities, and a spectator seating area for players and visitors. Guests should wear comfortable shoes and check in advance which lane type suits their preferred bowling variant.

This venue brings together two distinct German bowling traditions under one roof: schere and bohle lanes require completely different techniques and playing styles. This combination of both variants is relatively rare in the kegling world.
