Ristedter Windmühle, Heritage windmill in Ristedt, Germany.

Ristedter Windmühle is a Dutch-style brick gallery mill with white walls situated on a hilltop in the village of Ristedt. The structure features a distinctive gallery and was originally equipped with rotating sails used for grain processing.

The mill was built in 1880 by the Wienberg family and was initially designed to process large quantities of grain daily. In 1931, the building received a ventilation system that improved wind power utilization and increased its operational capacity.

Luise Wienberg made history at this mill in 1943 by becoming the second woman in Germany to obtain a master miller certification.

The building has been converted into a residential home, so visits involve viewing the mill's exterior to appreciate its historical form and structure. Its hillside location makes it easily visible from the village and simple to locate.

A miller named Luise Wienberg earned her master certification at this mill in 1943, making her one of the first women in Germany to achieve this qualification. This demonstrates that the mill served as a place of professional training during that era.
