August-Kühne-Haus

The August-Kühne-Haus is a contemporary office building along the Weser River in Bremen serving as headquarters for an international logistics company. The facade is made of large precast concrete modules in grey-beige tones that echo the colors of local sandstone.

The building is a new structure completed in 2019 that replaced an earlier office facility dating from the 1960s. The company behind it was founded in Bremen during the 1890s and has been part of the city's economic life ever since.

The structure's design incorporates architectural elements that maintain clear views of Bremen's historical landmarks, including the Bremen Cathedral and Martini Church.

The building sits directly on the Weser and is easily accessible by public transport and on foot. The location offers good views of the surrounding architecture and Bremen's historical landmarks.

The facade consists of large concrete panels that span two full floors and are supported without additional interior columns. This structural solution allows for open office spaces inside without vertical supports interrupting the floor plans.
