August-Kühne-Haus, Corporate headquarters in Bremen, Germany.
The August-Kühne-Haus features a grey-beige facade made of precast concrete sections that reflect the color of Weser sandstone along the riverside.
The building replaced its 1962 predecessor in 2019, marking a new chapter for Kühne + Nagel, a logistics company established in Bremen during the 1890s.
The structure's design incorporates architectural elements that maintain clear views of Bremen's historical landmarks, including the Bremen Cathedral and Martini Church.
The 13,500-square-meter office complex accommodates 725 employees and utilizes thermal separation technology between the facade and floors for energy efficiency.
The building's load-bearing facade consists of 2.7-meter-wide and 7-meter-high precast concrete sections that span two floor levels without interior support columns.
