Kuventhaler Talbrücke, Road bridge in Kuventhal, Germany
The Kuventhaler Valley Bridge consists of two levels, with the upper deck carrying Federal Road 3 and the lower deck serving local traffic.
The bridge replaced the Wilhelm Bridge from 1831, named after Wilhelm IV, and opened on March 14, 1957 under Federal Transport Minister Hans-Christoph Seebohm.
The structure represents German engineering technology of the 1950s, featuring a combination of steel girders and reinforced concrete construction methods.
The upper bridge spans 184 meters at a height of 28 meters, while the lower deck extends 117 meters at 21 meters above the valley floor.
The lower bridge functions as a suspension structure, hanging from the upper deck by 72 steel rods measuring 58 millimeters in diameter.
