Kurhaus Palmenwald

Kurhaus Palmenwald is a hotel set in a forested area of Freudenstadt, spanning four floors with integrated wellness facilities. The building houses an indoor pool, restaurant, and spa areas alongside guest accommodations.

Stuttgart industrialist Paul Lechler commissioned architects Wittmann and Stahl to build this property in 1895. The structure later served as a military hospital during both World Wars.

The name "Palmenwald" refers to the collection of tropical plants growing within the grounds, creating an exotic quality unusual for the Black Forest setting. Visitors notice this lush greenery throughout the indoor spaces and surrounding landscape.
