Ramseyer Memorial Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian church in Adum, Kumasi, Ghana
The church building features traditional Ghanaian design elements combined with Western architectural styles, including large stained-glass windows depicting biblical scenes throughout the structure.
Fritz Ramseyer established the church in 1896 after being held captive by the Asante army for five years, later constructing the stone building between 1902 and 1907.
The congregation conducts services in both English and Asante Twi languages, maintaining strong connections with local traditions while following Presbyterian practices.
The modern cathedral accommodates 3,000 worshippers and includes an 18-unit primary school block with educational facilities for the community.
The church originated from a mission that recorded 33 baptisms and established 16 schools with 311 pupils in Kumasi by the year 1900.
