Naoussa

Naoussa is a coastal town in Central Macedonia that rises along the slopes of the Vermio Mountains with stone-paved streets and whitewashed buildings. A working harbor filled with fishing boats defines the waterfront and connects the settlement to the sea.

The settlement gained recognition as a Heroic City following a tragic defense in 1822 when residents resisted occupation. This defining moment became embedded in the town's identity.

Fishing traditions shape daily life here, with boats anchored in the harbor and seafood featuring prominently in local dining. The waterfront remains a gathering place where residents and visitors naturally congregate.
