Koutouki Cave, Show cave in Peania, Greece.
The cave features a central chamber of 60 by 60 meters divided into sections by limestone formations and stone walls created through natural processes.
Local residents discovered the cave in 1926 when a goat fell through a small gap, leading to formal exploration by journalist Dimitris Hatzopoulos in 1928.
The Hellenic Speleological Society conducted detailed mapping of the cave in 1954, marking a significant step in Greek geological research and documentation.
Visitors access the cave through a 17-meter artificial tunnel and can take guided tours in Greek or English that last approximately 20 minutes.
Located at an altitude of 510 meters on Mount Hymettus, the cave maintains a constant temperature of 17 degrees Celsius with humidity levels of 90 percent.
