Kallithea Springs, Thermal spa and protected building in Rodos Municipality, Greece.

Kallithea Springs is a thermal spa complex set on hilly terrain overlooking the sea. The facility displays European-style architecture with bathing areas, terraces, columned passages, and views across the water.

The complex was built in 1929 following a design by Italian architect Pietro Lombardi, symbolizing an era when spa resorts appealed to wealthy travelers. In later decades the building went through different phases before eventually receiving protected status.

The spring became known for its mineral-rich water that drew people from across the region seeking its healing qualities. Today visitors use the same bathing areas that have been valued for generations.

The site sits about 10 kilometers southeast of Rhodes city and is reachable via coastal roads. Visitors should bring swimming gear and are free to explore the grounds, with the terraces and viewpoints particularly rewarding to visit.

The complex still displays original tilework, arch structures, and architectural details from the 1920s that have rarely been restored. These unpolished surfaces and aged finishes give the place a distinctive character that attracts many photographers.
