Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda, Thermal spa town in Pyrénées-Orientales, France

Located at the confluence of the Mondony and Tech rivers, Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda sits at 240 meters elevation in southern France's mountainous region.

Originally called Les-Bains-d'Arles, the town received its current name in 1840 as a tribute to Queen Amelia, following the merger with Palalda in 1942.

The town's Micro-Folie cultural space combines a digital museum, fabrication laboratory, virtual reality facilities, and an educational library for visitors and residents.

Weekly markets every Thursday present local products including fresh produce, meats, fish, cheeses, clothing, and decorative items from regional producers.

The thermal springs maintain temperatures between 20 and 60 degrees Celsius, providing therapeutic treatments for respiratory conditions and rheumatism throughout the year.
