Pessac is a commune in the Gironde department near Bordeaux. The area covers several districts with residential neighborhoods, schools, and public facilities.
Roman settlement traces were found within the present municipal area. During the 20th century Pessac grew into a suburb of Bordeaux with new residential districts.
