Meulan-en-Yvelines is a French commune in the Yvelines department, situated roughly 50 kilometers northwest of Paris. The town spreads along the Seine valley and combines older settlement areas with newer residential zones that climb into the surrounding hills.
The commune resulted from merging Meulan and Hardricourt in 2017, building on medieval settlements along the Seine. This union reinforced the region's role as a transport hub between Paris and Normandy.
The town is easily reached by train and sits near main roads that allow through traffic. Visitors do best exploring the old quarters on foot, as these areas have limited car access.
