Le Tour

Le Tour is a ski resort and hamlet in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc situated around 1,460 meters elevation with ski slopes for different skill levels. Modern lift systems link this area to the broader Chamonix ski network, and rental services are available for winter sports equipment.

This area began as a traditional mountain settlement and transformed into a ski destination in the early 1900s as winter tourism grew in the Alps. The shift brought modern lift infrastructure and connected the hamlet to a larger skiing network.

The hamlet shows Alpine building traditions through its wooden chalets and stone structures scattered across the hillside. Walking through reveals how local construction methods adapted to heavy snows and mountain conditions over generations.

The area has good road access during the ski season with parking areas available for visitors. Winter months from December through March offer the most prepared terrain and fully operational lift systems.

Skiers here have direct access to the Vallée Blanche, a renowned descent through glacial terrain in the Mont Blanc massif. This run offers an experience of high Alpine skiing that many winter sports visitors consider a peak moment during their time.
