Château de la Roche

Château de la Roche is a Neoclassical country house in the Dordogne featuring symmetrical stone walls and classical columns. The building rises above landscaped gardens in this southwestern French region.

Russian Count Grigory Kushelev-Bezborodko commissioned the building in the 1800s. Later it served as a military hospital during World War I and housed elderly Jewish refugees during World War II.
