Musée d'art moderne et d'art contemporain de Nice, Contemporary art museum in Nice, France
The MAMAC building spans across the Peillon underground course and former Route nationale 7, featuring four monumental arches and surfaces made of Carrara marble.
Inaugurated on June 21, 1990, the museum received the prestigious designation of Musée de France in February 2003, marking its national significance.
The museum houses 1,300 artworks by over 300 artists, focusing on European New Realism, American Pop Art, and maintaining France's largest collection of Niki de Saint Phalle.

Nice offers a network of cultural venues and green spaces. The Marc Chagall Museum displays the largest public collection of his works. Parc du Mont Boron enables walks with coastal views. The Russian Orthodox Cathedral is the largest of its kind in Western Europe. Castle Hill, Promenade des Anglais and Port Lympia define the city landscape.
Nice is a city that draws attention even before the camera is brought out. The light changes constantly, soft in the morning, golden in the evening, radiant at midday. From the heights of the Castle Hill to the Promenade des Anglais, every corner seems made for photography. The old town offers its colorful streets, Place Masséna its red facades, the Russian cathedral its unexpected domes. Further out, the port, gardens, and beaches form a scene familiar to Niçois. It is a city viewed as much as experienced, between blue horizons and ochre walls, always ready to be framed differently.
