Passy Cemetery, Parisian cemetery in 16th arrondissement, France

The cemetery features stone monuments and mausoleums arranged along pathways under tall chestnut trees near the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Established in 1820 as part of Napoleon's initiative to create new burial grounds outside Paris, replacing the old Passy communal cemetery closed in 1802.

The final resting place of composer Claude Debussy, painter Édouard Manet, and writer Jean Giraudoux holds significance in French artistic heritage.

Located at 2 Rue du Commandant Schlœsing, the cemetery contains 2,600 graves spread across 1.75 hectares of land in western Paris.

The cemetery maintains the distinction of being the sole burial ground in Paris equipped with a heated waiting room for visiting mourners.
