The Palais des Festivals features 25,000 square meters of exhibition space, 18 auditoriums, and multiple conference rooms for international events.
Built in 1982 to replace the original 1949 structure, the Palais des Festivals expanded in 1999 with the Riviera Espace adding 10,000 square meters.
The venue hosts the Cannes Film Festival each May, where international filmmakers present their works and compete for the prestigious Palme d'Or.
The building contains modern technical facilities, multiple entrances, wheelchair access, and direct connections to nearby hotels and restaurants.
The famous red steps at the entrance, consisting of 24 stairs covered in red carpet, lead to the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière.
