The Monster, Steel roller coaster in Maizières-les-Metz, France.
The Monster is a steel roller coaster at Walygator Parc that climbs to 40 meters high and stretches 1,200 meters across the park grounds. Its track includes six inversions with vertical loops and corkscrew turns that dominate the ride experience.
The ride was originally built for Expoland in Japan in 1996 under the name Orochi. It was later relocated to this park and reopened here in July 2010.
The Monster represents French engineering excellence in amusement park attractions, incorporating advanced safety systems and structural reinforcements.
The ride carries one train of eight cars holding 32 passengers total per trip through its course. Wear secure shoes and be ready for intense movements during the full journey.
This ride maintains speed throughout without mid-track braking sections to slow riders down. This design choice sets it apart from many similar coasters around the world.
