Built between 1754 and 1758 for François Bollioud de Saint-Jullien, a counselor to King Louis XV, on the foundations of a 13th-century fortress.
The castle gardens display 372 linden trees shaped into porticos, contributing to its classification as a historical monument of French heritage.
The castle opens from July through September, with guided tours available on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM.
During World War II, the castle served as a secure storage location for valuable artworks evacuated from museums in Dijon.
