Château de Chasselas, Medieval castle and winery in Chasselas, France

The Château de Chasselas contains a stone castle and 12 hectares of vineyards spanning across the Burgundy and Beaujolais wine regions.

Built in 1523, the castle served as a relay station on the ancient road connecting Lutèce, present-day Paris, to Ludgunum, now known as Lyon.

The estate produces wines from both Gamay and Chardonnay grapes, creating Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, and Crémant de Bourgogne varieties.

Visitors can participate in guided wine tours that include vineyard presentations, cellar explorations, and tastings in a dedicated space.

The property maintains dual functions as a registered historical monument and an active winery, holding the high environmental value certification.
