Café de la Gare

Café de la Gare is a theater venue housed in a former industrial building on rue du Temple, offering seating for around 450 spectators who gather for theatrical performances. The space hosts a variety of productions that make use of the venue's distinct layout and character throughout the year.

The venue was founded in 1968 by a group of performers and moved to its current location on rue du Temple in the early 1970s to accommodate growing operations. This relocation established it as a significant theater space in the heart of Paris.

The theater presented performances from notable French artists including Coluche, Patrick Dewaere, and Miou-Miou, who shaped its artistic direction through improvisation methods.
