Founded in 1128 by Count Ithier of Rethel and Archbishop Renauld de Martigné, the abbey was established for the Premonstratensian canons under Saint Remy's patronage.
The abbey church preserves medieval funeral slabs and architectural components from the 18th century, representing the evolution of religious architecture through time.
Visitors can explore the abbey on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM during July and August.
The monastery includes an apothecary that displays the history of medicine and medicinal plants used by the religious community.
