Château de Saint-Brisson-sur-Loire

Château de Saint-Brisson-sur-Loire is a medieval fortress with four floors and approximately 25 furnished rooms, including ceremonial apartments and service quarters. These spaces are connected by stone staircases and show the full layout of a noble residence from top to bottom.

The castle was built in the 13th century as a noble residence and underwent major changes in the 16th century when the Séguier family transformed it into a fully lived-in home. This renovation shaped how the building looks and functions today.

The castle displays furnished rooms that reflect how French noble families lived across different time periods. You can see the everyday spaces and objects that show what daily life was actually like for its residents.

The castle is open daily during the All Saints holidays from 2 PM to 6 PM, with both guided tours and self-guided visits available. You can explore at your own pace or follow a guide, depending on how you prefer to experience the rooms.

Visitors can take part in an investigation game spread throughout the castle that turns the building into an escape room experience. As you explore the rooms, you solve puzzles and discover hidden clues while moving through the house.
