The Saint-Hilaire Castle features a rectangular layout with three round towers, machicolations, and flat tile roofing in the village of Curemonte.
The Saint-Hilaire family received the estate from the Curmontes and built the castle in the 13th century, before the property transferred to the Aymard de Lostanges family.
The castle forms part of a co-lordship containing two separate buildings within the same enclosure: Saint-Hilaire in the center and Plas Castle near the entrance.
This historical monument stands in the center of Curemonte village, on a ridge overlooking the Sourdoire and Maumont valleys.
Colette Renée de Jouvenel, daughter of writer Colette and nicknamed Bel-Gazou, became the castle owner in the 20th century.
